We would like to take this opportunity to thank the faculty, staff,
administrators, and students who took time out of their busy
schedules to participate in the Public Forums held earlier this
week. We have designed an inclusive, equitable, and transparent
search process and appreciate your willingness to be part of the
process.
The Presidential Screening Committee met on the afternoon of October
9, 2007 to review the timeline, participate in training, and to
review the draft of the presidential profile. After significant
deliberation and input the Committee forwarded a draft of the
profile to the Board for further consideration.
The Board met on the evening of October 9, 2007 to review the
timeline and the presidential profile. We congratulate the College
for their insight and suggestions in helping us construct a profile
that truly reflects the ambitions and aspirations of our College. We
expect to have the presidential profile posted on the College’s web
site in the next couple of days.
As you know, the search for the next president of WITC will be one
of the most important decisions for the WITC Board of Trustees. We
expect that the next couple of months will be dedicated to
disseminating information and recruitment of a national pool of
candidates.
The Board and Screening Committee are committed to maintaining
confidentiality regarding the candidate pool and applicants
throughout this process.
