We want to take this opportunity to update the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College community regarding our recruitment efforts as we continue the search for our next president. Numerous recruitment efforts have been, and still are, taking place. The following is an update on our recruitment exposure:
ACCT Convention:
The Association of Community Colleges Trustees (ACCT) held its annual
convention in San Diego, California on September 26 - 29, 2007. Board
Leadership Services had a prominently displayed booth where the WITC
presidential opening was posted. Our ACCT Search Consultants Narcisa
Polonio and Julie Golder networked with potential candidates.
Electronic solicitation for nominations or expressions of interest:
Throughout the past several months thousands of presidents and
administrators of community colleges, colleges, and universities as well as
leaders of business and industry throughout the country received information
regarding the position.
Letters requesting nominations or expressions of interest:
A customized letter was mailed to over 1,000 community college presidents to
request nominations and solicit interest in the presidency at WITC.
Additionally, this letter was sent to all of the college and university
presidents throughout Wisconsin.

The position was advertised in the September 28, 2007 and October 19, 2007
Chronicle of Higher Education. This posting in the Chronicle of
Higher Education began the recruitment phase of the presidential search.

Recruitment for the next president of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College is going well. The applicant list continues to grow with a number of the applicants having experience at the presidential or vice-presidential level.
